Terms & Conditions.
For your reviewer · not shown to the public
These terms reflect how the clinic actually operates. If you are reviewing them (e.g. via a legal reviewer), the clauses worth a closer look are:
- Full-charge cancellation inside 24 hours, full refund or free rebooking outside it (§02) — confirm enforceability and that it is disclosed at the point of booking.
- Courses non-refundable but transferable (§03) — confirm consistency with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
- Liability limitation (§07) — confirm the wording is enforceable and consistent with the Insync Medical Malpractice / PI / PL cover.
- Mandatory patch test and right to refuse treatment (§04–§05) — confirm the informed-consent process is adequate for laser.
01 · Booking
You can book by phone (020 8109 7007) or via the Phorest online booking system on this website. A booking confirms your slot but does not create a contractual obligation to attend until you arrive — see Cancellation below.
Consultations are free and require no deposit. Patch tests are free. Some treatment bookings may require a card on file via Phorest; you authorise no charge to be taken until your treatment is complete.
02 · Cancellation
Cancellation, rescheduling or no-show of any paid appointment is governed simply by the notice you give us:
- More than 24 hours’ notice — full refund, or rebook to another time at no charge.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice, or a no-show — charged in full. The charge is non-refundable and is taken from the card on your Phorest record.
For appointments within a paid course, a cancellation or no-show with less than 24 hours’ notice counts as that course session used.
03 · Courses & Treat Card
A course of six sessions is sold at the price of five (you receive six sessions for the cost of five). Course sessions have no expiry date — you can spread them across any timeframe.
Course payments are non-refundable but transferable to another treatment of equivalent value at our discretion. The Treat Card is a recognition system for returning clients — not a paid subscription. Visit and spend totals are tracked in our booking system (Phorest); progression through tiers is automatic, no enrolment required. Treat Card credits are valid against treatment services only (not retail), never expire, and cannot be combined with promotional vouchers. Credits have no cash equivalent. We reserve the right to amend tier thresholds or perks with reasonable notice; existing credits remain honoured at the original level.
04 · Suitability
We reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment if, in the practitioner's clinical judgment, a treatment would be unsafe — for example: pregnancy (laser), certain medications, active skin conditions in the treatment area, recent sun exposure, or contraindicated medical history. Refusal is never personal and we will explain the reason.
05 · Patch test
Patch tests are mandatory before any first laser or tint treatment, and must be booked at least 24 hours before the treatment session. Patch tests are free, take five minutes, and form part of the safety standard we are unwilling to compromise.
06 · Payment
We accept all major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay, contactless, and bank transfer. There is no card surcharge. Prices on the website are inclusive of VAT.
07 · Liability
Our liability is limited to that imposed by law. We carry comprehensive treatment insurance arranged through our broker, Insync Insurance Solutions Ltd, and underwritten by Altea (Mission UK Series 3 Ltd) on behalf of Hadron UK Insurance Company Ltd — covering medical malpractice, professional indemnity, public liability, employers' liability and products liability, each to a limit of £1,000,000 (£10,000,000 for employers' liability). The clinic also holds a Special Treatments licence issued by the City of London Corporation and operates in compliance with its conditions. We are not liable for results that fall within the natural range of outcomes — laser hair removal, by its nature, produces variable results between clients, which we always discuss honestly at consultation.
08 · Disputes & governing law
If something has gone wrong, please tell us first by emailing info@mikkiwaxbar.co.uk. Most concerns are resolved in conversation. Unresolved disputes are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
