Does laser hair removal hurt?
The Venus Velocity has a built-in cooling tip that fires before the laser pulse. Most clients describe it as a warm flick — far
gentler than waxing. Sensitive areas like the bikini line feel it slightly more, but the treatment is quick. The free patch test lets
you feel exactly one pulse before you commit to anything.
Is it actually permanent?
After 6–8 sessions, 80–90% of hair permanently stops regrowing for most clients. The remaining hair becomes finer and lighter. Most
clients book one top-up session per year. At your free consultation, Mikki will be honest with you about what results are realistic for
your specific hair colour and skin type.
I tried laser before and it didn’t work. Why?
If you had IPL, that’s the reason. IPL and diode laser are not the same technology. IPL fires broad-spectrum light and can stimulate
dormant follicles — which is why some clients end up with more hair than before. Mikki’s uses a medical-grade diode laser that targets

Will it work on my skin tone?

What does the free consultation involve?
It’s a 15-minute appointment at our Aldgate studio. Mikki assesses your skin and hair type, explains what results you can
realistically expect, and answers every question. There is no pressure and no obligation to book. The patch test and consultation are
both completely free. No payment required at all.
How many sessions do I need?
Most clients need 6–8 sessions for 80–90% permanent reduction. Sessions are spaced 4–6 weeks apart depending on the treatment area.
After your course, most clients book one maintenance session per year. The free consultation gives you a personalised estimate based on
your specific skin and hair.
How long does each session take?
It depends on the area. Underarms take around 10 minutes. Hollywood or Brazilian takes 20–30 minutes. Full legs take around 45
minutes. You’ll get a precise estimate at the consultation.
How often should I wax between sessions?
You should not wax between laser sessions — waxing removes the follicle that the laser needs to target. You can shave between
sessions. Mikki will explain the full aftercare plan at the consultation.
