Practitioner-led · Aldgate, London · Cohorts of four

Practitioner-led training in laser, waxing & brows.

Small-cohort training led by an active Level 4 laser practitioner, taught inside a working London clinic. CPD-certified. Live-model practice. Built for therapists who plan to use the chair, not collect another certificate.

Not a beauty school. Practitioner-led clinical training, by one named trainer.

Why train here.

Four operational facts about how the Academy is staffed and structured — every one of them traceable to a single decision: the trainer is the practitioner.

01

Active clinic practitioner.

Mikki runs the clinic's diode laser six days a week. The trainer is the person whose treatments fill the review wall — there is no separate teaching faculty.

02

Real treatment environment.

You train in the working clinic, on the same machine, with the same wax and consumables you would meet on your first real client. Not classroom theory.

03

Fitzpatrick-aware laser.

The clinic operates a true 800nm diode laser. Course covers Fitzpatrick I–VI, including the darker-skin protocols most academies skip.

04

Small cohort, real chair time.

Maximum four for laser and hot wax, six for strip wax and brows. The cap is structural — it is what makes individual feedback possible.

Five diplomas. One flagship.

Meet Mikki

Active practitioner, not a full-time educator.

Mikki opened the clinic at 10 Minories on the 1st of November 2019. Quick answers.

Do I need experience?
Hot wax, strip wax and brows are beginner-friendly. The Laser Diploma requires Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent — the UK industry standard that most insurers expect before they will write a laser policy.
Is the certification recognised?
Yes. Every course awards a CPD certificate, which is recognised across the UK for continuing professional development and is what most beauty insurers reference when updating your policy.
Do I work on live models?
Yes — every course includes live-model practice. Models are real clients of the clinic, briefed and consented in advance. For laser, models cover Fitzpatrick I–VI where possible, including darker skin.
Where is training held?
10 Minories, Aldgate, London EC3N 1BJ. Inside the working clinic — same room, same diode laser, same Lycon wax, same consumables you would meet on a real client.
Can I get insurance after the course?
Most UK beauty insurers (ABT, Insync, BABTAC, Westminster) will write a policy on the basis of a CPD certificate plus evidence of practical hours and live-model work. You leave with a written breakdown formatted for insurer hand-off.
What's included in the course?
Theory + practical hours, live-model contact, consumables, consultation paperwork, CPD certificate, insurer-ready evidence pack, and 90 days of post-course access to Mikki for technique questions.
Is laser training suitable for beginners?
Not directly. Laser requires Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent. If you are starting out, the Foundation Pathway (strip wax + hot wax + brows) is the standard route in — you can progress to laser when ready.
